    Isaac and Rosario Fabian are relatively new carvers for us at DeSilva Imports. As young, yet master carvers, their work is extraordinary! Full of fine detail and precise painting, this design features a fantastic cheetah animal print on the body, that is perfectly contrasted with bright pops of color, such as the raised green circles on the inside of the oversized ears, and the purple, red and green on the outside. It takes an expert and practiced painter to be able to distribute this pattern so evenly and perfectly spaced, and the final product adds a beautiful visual and textural appeal to the piece. The carving is done with whimsical detail and bold touches are added, such as the oversize ears, the thin curling tail and the bright eyes that are made with marbles. Truly adorable, yet masterfully crafted, this work is museum quality. Colorful, whimsical and creative! All the characteristics that make us fall in love with Mexican Folk Art over and over! This fantastic mouse is signed by the artist, using the name of their family workshop, Zoologico Magico (Magic Zoo). Even the family workshop's name is whimsical and fun! The only removable part is the tail.
