  • Condition: Nice old PLUMB Connie axe head. The cutting edge still looks almost original to factory edge (see pics). There's some minor chips and nicks on the cutting edge (see pic #9). The poll end has some hammer marks, and some slight amount of mushrooming (see pic #10). No breaks or cracks in the steel. The makers mark "PLUMB" is still clear (see pics). There's also some scratches, scrapes, pitting and dings on both sides of the axe head, that are to be expected from a used Antique/Vintage woodworking tool, such as this old axe head (see all pics). The axe head is almost 6-7/8" long, with a cutting edge of a little over 4-3/4" wide. The eye of the axe is 2-1/2" long. The axe head weighs in at 3 pounds 5.0 oz. (3.25 or 3-1/4 pounds).

    RARE! Vintage/Antique PLUMB Connecticut/Connie Pattern Felling Tasmanian Axe Head 3-1/4 lb
    Nice old PLUMB Connie axe head. The cutting edge still looks almost original to factory edge (see pics). There's some minor chips and nicks on the cutting edge (see pic #9).
